It has to have some sort of worm adjustment, maybe internally with shims. Really doesn't matter, it's junk, send it back!!!There’s only 1 adjustment on a Borgeson…I’m pretty sure about that. @fancyTBI would know.

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember that in fancyTBI’s thread. But, I agree, send it back.It has to have some sort of worm adjustment, maybe internally with shims. Really doesn't matter, it's junk, send it back!!!
The factory units have two adjustments, the input shaft and the sector shaft. These Borgesons only have the sector shaft. I did try tightening up my factory unit's input shaft nut but it just had too much wear in it.Unlock the steering wheel and grab the steering shaft and rotate it while watching for the input shaft to move in and out of the box. If the worm adjustment is loose adjusting the sector will do you no good. It requires a big socket and a pin spanner to adjust the worm.
Or hang it on a bracelet or necklace as a lucky charmDo your own rebuilds then you get to see if it is rebuildable, you can put quality parts in it and if it doesn't work you got no one to blame. These things are not some kind of magical device, just basic mechanical and hydraulic components. If it is the first time you've ever been in one go to the salvage yard and find a core that doesn't look like it's been pouring fluid out. If you fail with the rebuild turn it in as a core for a rebuilt or use it for a door stop.
On the guy you're gonna push overboard.Or hang it on a bracelet or necklace as a lucky charm
Why not have Turn One rebuild yours like @fancyTBI did? Basically the same money as a new Borgeson.Wow, I was fixin' to buy one of these for my C1500 (stock ride height, stock 15" rims), no more. What should I search for, and is it possible to get the 80mm bore and quick ratio? What I have in right now in the search engine is: 1998 C2500 7.4l
You can’t get the Q/R in a big bore box unless you’ve got $$$. Turn One will not do a one-off in that style. You’d have to make a huge order because the parts would be custom ordered and in some cases custom made. There aren’t off-the-shelf parts to turn those boxes into Q/R.Wow, I was fixin' to buy one of these for my C1500 (stock ride height, stock 15" rims), no more. …or have a rebuilt one on hand, which likely will be China crap and then you’ll have more down time. I’d call T1 and at least see what “Turn” around time is.I only have one vehicle, so I can't send it off to be rebuilt.
