Score! PS/Alt bracket that I had in the loft. Bonus! Even has an OEM pump on it. And I just bought a pump off eBay. Dang it. This is from the caprice motor.

Well… since my ‘92 is basically a part of this thread because I’m taking the engine out of that it feels appropriate to post this here.
Passenger side U bolt rotted through. When I changed oil 4K miles ago these were holding but getting a little thin. Guess they finally popped. Drivers side is the same way.

So today was the last day I’ll be driving my faithful W/T. After 365K miles it’s time for a rest. It has been the most loyal vehicle I’ve ever owned. I will miss driving it. I guess next week the motor will be pulled and we will get it ready for long-term storage.
Storage and prep for a new lease on life?

Exactly. Legally it’s my dad’s truck but I’ve done most of the work and paid for things since 2012. So there’s some debate about who actually gets it.

Regardless, we would like to tackle an LS swap together. Nothing wild though. We love the 4.8s and think it would be a great motor for a simple shop truck, backed by a T56 or a TKO 5 speed.

I am going to be selling the NV3500 out of it for like $500 so we will be forced to get a new manual.

Put the Hotsy to it today. Now home to work on the garage and get some painting done.

I’ll have to do the transmission with a brush and some brake cleaner, I didn’t want to get too aggressive around the wiring.
