Transmission tear down under way, decided to go with a pro built automatics rebuild kit. Nothing to bad after taking it all apart
This oil pump bushing though, was not happy. Had 4 diagonal gouges like that, doesnt loom normal or likes its supposed to be that way

That "diagonal gouge" is machined that way to allow oil into the surface of the shaft that rides on that bushing.
The camera really does add 10 lbs, these are only 11.5”wide tires

procrastinating doing the frame, found other stuff to do, driver side almost put back. Mocked up new master cylinder and bent the new lines in place

Took apart the encoder motor to clean. Was covered in oil and grease. Cleaned all the internal gears and re-greased and resealed it. Figured it was better to try this before spending $350 on a new one

got the transmission case back from powder coating, and my probuiltautomatics HD kit came in. kept me busy this weekend, started cleaning and reassembling the case internals. I think I am going to take my pump casings to a transmission shop to get there opinions on if it needs reworking or not.
in addition to the PBA kit, my parts list for the rebuild includes
sonnax smart shell
sonnax reaction gear
sonnax overrun piston
sonnax extra wide band (red)
new Deep pan
new reverse input drum

Was not excited that this did not come in a polished option. Will now match the rest of the aluminum pieces

That looks great! Have you test fit it with the water pump yet? I had to blend the ears of my dayco down a little.
no, i havent. one fire at a time. Frame, transmission and rear axle projects all going on at the same time
