Not sure what models came in our truck originally?
I'm still hard pressed to pay 1000$ to see if turn one 600 series is the best of the best solution smh. If I knew it was and I knew I was longgg term keeping my suburban and or keeping it lifted I would ,and I may

Saw this... Assuming it's the same for the Borgeson Delphi 800? Maybe not? Weird... Not sure where things got different between Saginaw and Delphi..etc

Hopefully this and maybe the cognito bracing would be a good fix....

edit///looks like maybe the 600 series is different from quick scouring the web..........different valving....

"Note this is very similar to the Saginaw steering gearbox style, however, valve housing is not adjustable so it's EASIER yet which I like!"

Is your issue with the pitman shaft play ? Ash shown in the vid here .... Or the gear box steering shaft input gear (( section )) ?

Mine is not in the pitman it's the other adjustment area that I guess isn't adjustable on borgeson boxes

There just isn't going to be a solid steering put together that feels like any 2024 truck and or doesn't sail the roads evidently .
Again, I disagree, zero play, tracks perfectly straight on freeways with no hands going straight. Not saying it for any other reason than it IS achievable.

Not sure what is going on with mine... Input shaft moves for 1/2" before pitman arm does. If there's slop in the sector shaft, it'll have to work through that before it turns the pitman.... So maybe same issue. But that's a different box in the video I guess.... I think 600 series are heavy duty... Should be same though. Really don't know...
I'm kinda interested so will keep looking as I can.
Probably goof around with mine later since Borgeson said that's what I need to do even though I told him others tried with no success.

I think maybe sticking with what came in our trucks would be the best choice. Maybe spending money on a Delphi 600 is just another rabbit hole. IDK! I think it’s a safe bet that the box that came with our truck would be better, even if it’s crazy money to rebuild. Failed experiments add up quick.

I'd like to know what is in our trucks. I know I'm overthinking it but it's unclear. Isn't Delphi tied in to Saginaw somehow? Was reading something that they became involved with the steering boxes at some point.

Saginaw no longer in business
50s 60s 70s 80s all the Saginaw boxes shared the same internals
I was told wasn't until the 90s gm went under fire for the shifty steering feel that we were used too for decades and redid it all to the 700 series or whatever it is now .
I agree im over the hype of the 500$ boxes it gets worse by day

I'm starting to wonder myself if just risking on a reman O'Reilly box a Few times one will be a winner

I tried adjusting the screw on my box but couldn't get it to budge. Need to get a socket driver...... Just like the one in the set I pretty much gave away 2 garage sales ago....
