The power steering says
All Borgeson power steering boxes are assembled and tested in the USA from globally sourced components and have a 3 year warranty. WARRANTY
That’s kind of the conclusion I came to, that they are “assembled” in USA. Not in CT anymore, they are in SC.

Yeah but what isn't just assembled in the USA with globally sourced components anymore? I'm happy if hitting the jackpot and parts say made in Mexico or Canada. Unless it's a pcb....

Me too. I posted what I did just to lay it out there, as far as what Turn 1’s opinion on the Borgeson.

Yeah, sounds like they don't get along. I told the guy at Borgeson but he didn't seem to care what others were saying. The enigma is if that's a good thing or bad...lol

Saw this... Assuming it's the same for the Borgeson Delphi 800? Maybe not? Weird... Not sure where things got different between Saginaw and Delphi..etc

Hopefully this and maybe the cognito bracing would be a good fix....

edit///looks like maybe the 600 series is different from quick scouring the web..........different valving....

"Note this is very similar to the Saginaw steering gearbox style, however, valve housing is not adjustable so it's EASIER yet which I like!"

I just got off the phone with Borgeson.
These are not Saginaw boxes so the only adjustment is the lash on the top from what he said. He said they were Delphi 800 series but, it seemed like maybe he wasn't 100%.
I'm going to try it and look into my shaft and inside too. My play is maybe 1/2" if that at the box but it's telegraphing at least an inch in the steering wheel....
Pulling myself up into the truck while using the wheel as a handle probably isn't helping things.....

is there info on the Delphi 800 series to get an idea of what their story is?
I called turn one today myself and I have nearly the same 1" left to right slop at the wheel and maybe 1/2" at the input shaft .. turn one told me that's gonna be normal that you can't gauge that at a static position , on any box but their tolerance on there 600 series boxes are way tighter then the 700 series boxes . And he also verbally said they are 100% non serviceable chinese boxes Which is what is believed to be with borgeson at this point .

Sadly the whole steering fix or ability too achieve a modern day feel on these trucks is a hopeless scenario thats ' not gonna happen . It all equivalates to a nightmare / waisted dollars invested , not to mention the headache of removing what you just installed to try out 20 other parts especially for the ones that are lifted trucks with larger wheel/tires that need that extra gear box integrity to pull the weight left to right . There just isn't going to be a solid steering put together that feels like any 2024 truck and or doesn't sail the roads evidently . Anyone wanna try the 999$ turn one box id be happy to hear about it . Borgeson sucks period 500$ is twice the cost of a no name reman and it should be very quality at that price point.

This sh#+ stresses me out if i cant get a worthy steering quality and feel right after all the hours and $ invested Its almost enough of a qualm to ' get away from the obs scene. Because I know for damn sure the nbs and even newer Chevys have none of these issues , even 96+;s10s steer good on their shittie*t day
And that's taken into account the fact I've done all the leg work and necessary suspension upgrades up front prior to a gearbox that' would be necessary. I just can't figure out how some of these guys running stock trucks restored trucks just abide by the slop and claim a stock box is a1 .. it's gotta be bs.

Just Doesn't seem to be a real solution out there besides accept what's available or move onto nbs hobbies

I think that's the consensus on the 600 series boxes in general from what quick reading I've done. The valving is different...More of rack and pinion feel. Need to research more.
Not sure what models came in our truck originally?
