GM Part Number 09365789 ... And there's no reliable info on this module anywhere. Everyone seems to think it has something to do with radio amplifying. But a Suburban's audio amp is under the driver seat.

Wikipedia says Onstar was "founded" in 1996. I didn't realize it went back that far.

Yup OnStar has a mini speaker over the driver so their dispatcher can talk to them in the event of an emergency. Our Denali had a cell phone service with them too, though we never used it and didn't renew it after the trial period.
