I was not overly impressed by the powder coat on my PowerStop calipers. Similarly, I was not impressed with the slotted ACDelco rotors. Therefore, I rebuilt my factory calipers using Genuine GM parts (pistons, seals, o-rings, bolts, and bleeder screws) and installed traditional GEOMET-coated rotors from PowerStop. Everything went together very nicely.

It's official, she's alive again. I have a leaking water pump bolt, but no other issues to report. This was especially welcome after bleeding the brakes this past weekend and chasing multiple brake fluid leaks. If you plan on installing stainless steel brake lines, tighten the fittings as tight as possible (seriously!) using a flare nut wrench.

That is the key. I tighten, then loosen, then a little tighter, loosen and then tighten goodentight! No leaks since and lines still look new since 2020 install.

I'm glad to hear your SS brake lines are not leaking after several years. After my frustrating ordeal this weekend, I researched the topic online and found countless stories of owners chasing leaks. I would like to curse Inline Tube for not making the union fittings on the last two sections of frame rail line more accessible. :fca5278d:

I think @fancyTBI had a similar experience with Inline Tube. Believe it or not, I bought my kit off of Amazon Warehouse, complete kit for about $25.00(open box) all lines and fittings work perfectly. Oh, and it’s the Dorman SS kit.
