mines got ribs, not real deep but like stockers, I'm thinking of doing them in orange then let the rest be chrome.

I did it to the air cleaner and valve covers I had on the mcss and that motor is now in dad's 84.

forgot that I did the wire looms too.

Only thing about mine, the area around the center bolts is flat, and shaped like a lego block, and would get painted orange, but not sure if the squares being orange and the ribs, then chrome bolts in the center of the blocks would look good or not. I may end up having to do the ribs only and leave the recessed block are around the bolts chrome.

well if you do that and dont like it, itd be easier to paint the squares then to unpaint them..lol

yea I can unpaint them really fast, just wipe em with thinner and instant paint removal.
