Are you able to use K1500 uppers for a C1500, if not why ?

First: Welcome to the forum from Oregon

Second: Why? Because GM designed them different and the 4x4 has an axle running under the UCA and above the LCA. Different ball joint applications and connections. Take a look at RA for both applications and compare. Go to a salvage yard and feast your eyes.
