Alright, we got a little sidetracked this summer and haven’t made any progress on the project other than changing things up a bit and acquiring some parts. I started going through some stuff to help freshen my memory.

We got the rotating assembly back all rebalanced and should start assembling in a week or two.

Eagle crank, Summit rods, DSS Racing pistons, Summit gas ported rings, Scat flex plate, Summit dampener, Clevite main and rod bearings and ARP main bolts.

I documented the work on the cylinder heads pretty well earlier in the thread. Summit/Dart Iron Eagle with 2.02/1.60 stainless valves, Cometic MLS .040 head gaskets, ARP head bolts.

Did they do a special surface finish for MLS gasket?

On to the air side of the equation. Here is where we made a change over the summer.

Procharger for boost, intercooler and piping TBD, 2” bored throttle body, CFM Tech phenolic spacer, Edelbrock bored TBI intake, Felpro gaskets and ARP bolts.

Good question, I don’t think so. I had the block decked and the heads are brand new and checked out flat when I was working on them. I’ve used that combo on my last couple of builds without issue.

Hmm. I dont have any first hand experience, I’ve just had a couple machine shops ask if I was using MLS because it was a couple extra steps? It’s probably just a much finer finishing pass.
