I had some extra door speakers left over from a project so I figured I would up grade these. Well I pull the door panels off and there is already aftermarket door speakers and sound deadening! But it still sounds horrible so I pull the radio and a notice a **** wiring job. Well luckily I had a stock radio (which I prefer)I will just run a LOC to the subs like I did the suburban.

That's too bad about the hack wiring job. Kenwood generally produces good sound. My 'burb is all Kenwood less the sub/amp combo...thinking about building a ported box for the RF 12" P2 setup.

P2 sounds good! I like a good sounding system, I really like old school car stereos and amps! The new stuff looks cheap

They didn’t use any connectors just tape, some speaker wires weren’t even taped up. I will re do it and use proper bullet connectors. Maybe I will try it again one of these days.

Finally was able to get the block on the stand. More pics to follow.

Cleaned and painted the block, going to run a hone down the cylinders and wrap it in a bag while i get the other parts prepped. Really having remorse about not building a 6.0, I have a budget and I’m all in right now at $623.00. I still need lifters and springs which will put me right at $1000 for the motor. Still have to figure in exhaust, stall converter, tune, gears, shift kit etc.

Just doing come detail/cleaning on the frame. I will paint it black when I’m all done.
