Plain ol' ordinary water drizzled down the throttle bores--or the IAC passage--in a urine stream at fast idle will remove carbon from the combustion chambers.

Not so good at removing deposits from the throttle body, intake manifold, or intake ports.

As said--buy "Top Tier" fuel.

Buy, borrow, or rent a scan tool/scan tool simulator.
