interesting. Never heard of the 20... or paid attention to the actual heat ratings.

From personal experience the other 3M (77/90) fail prematurely in headliner applications. Adhering to garage door panels as well....
Weldwood Landau has proven so far to be in a different league..

Edit: The Wurth product is 3 can minimum and $25 EACH! Not Wurth it.

I bought mine from lmc as apparently, at some point, 150lbs of grease and dynamite exploded in my engine compartment. Po apparently could not be bothered to clean it off until it became one with the underside of my hood. Bought it, covered it, moved on.
The $45.00 one or the $260.00 formed insulator?

I bought the $45 version. Doesn’t look like OEM at all but it is nice. I know you like OEM, so I’d probably avoid that one.
My formed original is in all but perfect shape, except for a bit of the fabric delaminating. It should be easy enough to repair and has been done according to another GM car forum.
The Formed Insulator from LMC with tax/shipping is $367.32, so I’m into repairing for under $50 likely.

Does anyone have a pic of the formed OEM style insulator from LMC? I know it's expensive, but I've considered replacing mine with one. I just didn't want to fork out that much dough if it didn't look at least close to factory.

It better be for $370.00!
Here’s a picture of the material I ordered for mine.

I found a new and better high heat adhesive. I called and spoke with technical department of this company and he confirmed it’s rated between 250°-300°. That’s the highest I’ve found. This company specializes in high heat products.
If temps get higher than 250°, I’ve got worse issues than fabric coming loose.

When I got the silver SS it had a replacement (GM) hood on it, fresh from the box so it needed paint matching and also had no insulation underneath. I bought the pad from GM and I recall it being expensive, plus expensive to ship.. but that LMC one seems ridiculous. I'd rather hunt through a dozen boneyards looking for a usable one first.
