Ooops, I forgot the condenser too. This is what I have now (it's a parallel flow) - I can't believe I bought it over 5 years ago for $74.98

I too had a compressor failure in the dually. Do I need to yank the brick under the dash or will a flush get me by there?

Theoretically the screen in the orifice tube should keep most anything downstream clean. I just flush the line from the orifice body (without the orifice in it) through the evaporator to the connection for the accumulator and call it good. I guess, some day I should probably change it out but, I'm too lazy...

I would flush the line first. Do not send the junk from the line into the core as it negates the screens filtering effect doing so.

yeah, I should have mentioned I clean out the orifice tube housing before flushing the whole line. I just use as little as possible, then hook it all back together so, when I do flush it, I don't spray crap all over the engine bay. Whatever end I have left, I can direct it towards a bucket.

FYI - Since my son has the flush gun already, I just buy a jug of fluid for ~$15 and use his.

Wouldn't it make sense to blow the solvent back toward the orifice tube? And to be clear, downstream of the orifice tube doesn't require component replacement for debris, just a flush?

Yeah, the 1st shot but, I like to do it in both directions - kinda like flushing an oil cooler.
