This will be a very simple build. It might take a while to finish but it will get done. WE have been wanting a street truck ever since I sold my drag truck. The better half gave me full permission to order a whipple f150 but I couldn’t justify a large payment for basically a toy. SO I’m going to do what I do best, build a truck. I wanted a v6 truck and it had to be a 99-02 rcsb in white. It was already lowered on really ugly wheels.

Plans…

Mild 5.3, 400 to the wheels.

4.10 gears

rear brake conversion for 15in wheels

17/15 drag combo. Most likely chrome race stars because I can’t afford bogarts.

Get the body PDR’d

Carpet

White door handles

Tahoe/suburban mirrors

HD hood

New OEM lights all around.

Two burning questions:

1. Have you ditched those Discount Tire grandpa wheels yet?

2. Have you considered truly effective anti-theft measures? I'm sure you know they steal these trucks like crazy. I'm surprised to see they even take the work truck beaters, around here. People posting on the Houston stolen trucks page all the time and about once a week you see some clapped old longbed work truck that you wouldn't think anybody would want, mixed in of course with the more prevalent brand new models that seem to disappear the moment you walk away from them.

I HATE the wheels. I went and looked at two different sets of Race Star wheels, 17x6 front and 15x10 in the rear with drag radials. The chrome finish on both sets were pretty messed up. That’s “normal” on them wheels as they get older. So I guess I’m just going to bite the bullet and get a set of billet drag wheels of some sort.

I’ve been pulling fuses for now. When i swap it I will install a hidden in plan sight switch
