Forgot to post this yesterday... I bought an aftermarket fuse box and lower filler panel combo off eBay last week. They came with the plastic pre-colored blue. Installed them yesterday and they fit really well. The color is slightly off, but this dash has been repainted previous to my ownership (used to be gray) and I have yet to be able to find a perfect match color for it.

Here is the eBay link: www.ebay.com/itm/184791934067

And here's what it looks like in my truck:

Hey GS I had a pretty good blue color match with this FWIW...every ones dash has different degrees of fading but this worked great for me .....

Earlier this week, I wanted to check my AC. Went to install the high side R143A adapter I bought (it had the low side on it already) and figured out too late that this truck has the 3/16 high side port. I had bought the 1/4 R134A quick connect adapter. Before I realized that it was too big to thread on, I bent the Schrader valve and it started leaking. I had to order the right fitting as no store around here had one available. Ended up getting the Four Seasons 59978 as recommended by L31MaxExpress in another thread. It came in today.

Drove the Buick up to Rural King and got some more R134A ($7.49/12 oz. can). When I got back the connector was here, so I took to recharging the AC. The previous gas had all leaked out.

Installed the fitting:

Vacuumed it down (got down to 30 after an hour and a half):

After 3 of the 12 oz. cans, here is where I stopped. This was at idle:

Temperature out of the vents was 42F with it on the regular AC setting, low fan speed. On MAX with fan on high it got down to 38F pretty quickly at idle. Holding the throttle at 1500 RPM it got down to 33F. This is without the truck moving.

By the time I got done and cleaned everything up, it was time to get cleaned up myself and go do something with my lady. We took the RAM as it needed gas. So hopefully some time tomorrow I can take this truck out cruising around and see how it cools. Right now I'm pretty happy with the results and feel much more comfortable with working on the AC.

I hadn't really messed with or driven the truck in a week and a half. With all of the rain from Debby, life's other responsibilities, and trying to get my Buick fixed, I just haven't had the time. Today I got it out of the garage and ran some errands at lunch time. AC seems to work great, and it runs and drives great as usual. Could probably use valve seals at some point, as I see and smell a little oil puff at start up, but that's definitely not in my top 20 things I need to do to it.

When I get the Buick back together, I need to replace the pinion seal next. It's leaving a more significant spot on the garage floor now. I have the seal already, just have to get some gear lube.

Had some errands to run after work today. Took the truck and met my lady for dinner, then a parts run for the Buick and the RAM, then to Walmart for some dog food and coffee creamer. Check Engine light came on for a few minutes. When I shut it off at the restaurant and restarted it for the next stop, it never came back on again. So, I'm not gonna worry about it!

Did you check to see what code it set?

No, I didn't. The light went out and hasn't come back on again, yet. I ran around town today at lunch time with it too. I just decided that if it comes on again and stays on, I'll explore it further.

I have a Snap-On scanner (MT2500?) that a buddy gave me, but I haven't taken the time to figure out how to use it yet. Too many projects going on at the moment...

Even thought the light has gone out it still stored a code. Just jump terminals A and B on the ALDL connector and count the flashes. It will always flash a code 12 then flash whatever codes that are stored. I'll almost bet it will be a code 31 EGR.
