2 steps forward and 3 steps backwards lol.

Got new dust shields in from Summit, pulled the new discs back off to install. Took the shocks back off as well for them to get their boots. Also cleaned up the frame in the engine bay and gave it a little rattle can paint. With this prep work out of the way it was time to replace the brake lines. Got a full SS kit specifically for this truck from InlineTube.com. Found the bends and fitment to work well so far. Most of the old plastic brake line frame clamps are broken so will have to check with LMC for those parts.

Had it out for its madden voyage since the new lift, tires and brake upgrades! Man it rides nice! Actually rubbing 33 inch tires on tight turns. The rough country lift is supposed to clear 35s so hopefully an alignment will help.

Cleaned up the vacuum booster and bracket then installed the master cylinder. Bent some new nickel copper lines that came out meh. Might order SS and redo.

Looking good! Yes these trucks seem to rub with big tires no matter what you do. I’ve had 5 GM trucks that were lifted and they all rubbed. It’s a GM thing.
Hahaha yeah probably the rubbing is a GM thing. The Ford guy at the parts store was giving me a hard time about square vs round wheel wells or something like that lol.

Decided to clean up some more stuff under the hood. Blasted and Cerakoting the air filter housing. Also going to do the valve covers. They were super gunked up. Had to bust out the ultrasonic cleaner with simple green to degrease them
