Took my "spare" truck an picked up something for this one...

I really wanted a newer style one with the frameless windows and/or a flat top but this one was cheap an 8 miles from my shop. It'll do for now after some cleanup and new seals on the front windows. Hopefully the white brightens up some with a good scrubbing.
I can’t decide if I am going to run my topper on my C2500 or my K2500. I picked up that ARE fiberglass cover for the ‘95 specifically, but the topper really looks gaudy on it. Yours looks good! Cheap and free is a good combo. I gave $200 for mine but it was 2 hours away and cold as F the day I picked it up.

In its defense it took maybe 2 hrs to pull apart. Getting the radiator out was the biggest pia. I'm doing a complete cooling system overhaul on it for like $240 or so in parts....
Does it already have the metal coolant bypass elbows on it? The plastic ones crack eventually. I’ve replaced those on 3 impalas for friends.

It would be cooler if it had a supercharger.
It would, an it would have costed about 3k more too. It's just a beater with a/c....

It did an those are going back. Looks like the water pump, tensioner bracket an elbows had already been done. The radiator must have been stopped up. It didn't look pretty at all but the engine flushed out pretty quickly with decently cleat water after about 3-4 mins.

Bypassing an saving the heater core replacement for another (cooler) day. Which means it'll be winter when I decide to do it :evillol:

One of my friends had a parts suburban he was about to send to scrap as he was done with it. Most if the interior and dash was out so it was a good one to pull the main harness for the doors from. It was still a pretty decent job though. Got it an the rear door harnesses, lock actuators, regulators an 1 rear door panel. Front door stuff had been used (doors an all) on another truck.

Went to a local yard today an got the front door stuff. Door panels aren't perfect but I'm planning to dye them a darker gray an maybe have the inserts an carpet on the bottom redone in black/graphite to tie in with the seats. This probably won't happen till it cools off some though since it'll require the full interior to come out again.

Before all that fun today though she also got a trip to the exhaust shop. I was looking for a magnaflow or similar as I wanted some sound out of it but nothing to loud. I wound up with a flowfx an I'm on the fence about it. It is almost unbareable inside the cab at times when it's under load but cruising on the highway it's really not much louder than it was. I do like how it sounds at idle now so idk what to do. I might leave it until the interior revamp as that is also going to include carpet and more sound deadner on the floor an back wall.

Tip fitment is perfect.

Kinda in a similar spot with my exhaust. Single in dual out Super 10. On my RCLB it doesn’t drone. On the ECLB it drones pretty bad. It’s getting revamped on 8/21 to a single out anyways because it’s been hitting the differential.

I didn't mention it above but my trip to the exhaust shop was to try an fix a leak I thought was coming from one of the welded in cat "test" pipes. It was mostly from the passenger side manifold gasket. The rear 2 studs were a little loose an let the gasket separate between it's layers. The pipe flange gasket was replaced as well. I did find one pin hole though that I'm going to get them to weld up. I can just barely hear it now where before it was a pretty loud obnoxious puffing. I hate exhaust leaks lol.

I wanted to get these fixed before the 411 swap an tuning. Hopefully this was the cause of my code I keep getting for bank 2 fuel trims. The Dr side isn't making any noise an I had ran out of time for today so I'll stash the rest of the gaskets for another day.

Then loaded up the box with stuff to use for now, since the budget on this project went way overboard :doh2:

Of course no trip to the freight of harbors is complete without a stop by the clearance/open item area. Been looking at these since having 2 jacks is nice sometimes and my other one is probably 10 y/o now. At $130 off, why not, can't see anything wrong with it. I'll put it to use tomorrow to make sure though.
