Will a 1998 3500 crew cab body fit on a 2002 Chevy/GMC C3500HD Dually frame? I have a 98 4x4 crew cab, but I'm wanting to bag the truck on a 2x4 frame. I have a guy wanting to sell me the frame mentioned in the post with, rims, tires, gas tank w/pump, power steering box, and driveshaft. Front end as well.

Probably with lots of cash, time and homework. If your current frame is no good, why not find the correct frame?
Is the 2002 frame still the 400 platform? I looked one up and it showed both, a 400 and an 800.

I have both at my house now. I'll get you a measurement and some pictures if I remember after work. You're referring to the 3500hd with 5 lug front 10 lug rear correct? I've read the crewcabs hds were on cut and stretched frames

Something tells me OP isn't looking at an actual 3500HD frame, but a 3500 frame that someone is calling an HD. It might also be a GMT800 3500"HD" frame they're trying to sell him.

That was my thought too. I thought about a project like this so I’ll pull measurements and post them regardless so I can see for myself

Looks like behind the cab on the C3500hd kicks up prior to remaining flat the entire length of the frame. A crew cab body could be dropped on with a body lift in the front and the rear cab mount mounted to the raised section of the frame, however on my truck, the cab of the crew cab would end about 10 inches or so before the rear tire
