I have a '99 Suburban. I want to put a bench seat up front. What trucks can I source them from? Post facelift Suburbans I imagine are fair game. What about pickups? Single, extended, crew...are they all compatible?
Easiest would be a seat from a crew cab, or a regular cab. The seat styling you have in your '99 began in '95. Many '95-up bench seats are a split style, and the split bench from an extended cab is a little harder to swap into any other cab style due to bracketry differences as an extended cab has a unique floor shape. You can do it, it's just more hassle.

Finding one in good shape can be tricky. Look at crew cab REAR seats as you may find one that doesn't have a bunch of wear. Don't forget to get the seatbelts.

Will 99-06 seats work? Those seem to be more plentiful in my area

Not sure... but there is a guy who makes brackets out there that might have what your looking for. I got 2022 seats in my 88 using his brackets..this where i got mine.. not cheap but i think hes the only one making them..

Long shot but does anyone have a pic or opinion on the LMC glove box doors? Need one since mine is trashed. Dunno if I should just grab one of theirs or try to find a grey OEM and paint it. 88-94.

How do I remove the plunger switch things that turn the dome light on when the doors open (or whatever they are called?) on a '94?

The driver's side one is pretty much dead and rarely works, and the passenger side one works intermittently.

They've been like this since I bought the truck in 2017, and I want to finally get them fixed.

I think your refering to the "niplle doohickie" between the door and dash? I have seen guys access the back of the switch thru the fuse panel right below it. You stick a pick or small screwdriver to try to push it out. Not sure if the 94's had the fuse panel or not... if not i think you can safely pull it out enough to get access to the clips.
Heres a vid i saw that may help.

Yep 94s had the fuse panel in the same location as the earlier ones. Mine went bad years ago, and if memory serves me correct, I believe I used a small flat blade screwdriver to carefully pop it out.

I think i know the answer.. I've installed on my reg/cab the rear trim panels that cover the rear sides and roof... it originally had just the small dome light cover.. now its a full monte.. My headliner press board is in excellent condition and i'm going to recover it and re-install... It has a cutout that went over the dome light socket... I'm figuring this isnt the case with the full rear roof panel?.. I have to cut it shorter to go just under this panel?
