Im working on a project truck that already has the custom fender flares and running boards (see profile photo) and I want to drop it just a little to give it a better stance. Share your photos of 2/4 and 3/4 lowered duallys and maybe I can decide what I want to do. I will also likely need to replace my shocks but don't know where to begin on that. I don't know if I should go back with a stock similar, or upgrade to a beefier shock. Also not sure how to measure to decide the length I will need. Advice and recommendations welcome but I'm not gonna slam this thing so please don't suggest it. I still have to pull some pretty heavy trailers from time to time and don't want to have to modify my hitch set up.

This was 13years ago, it was probably a 3/5 drop. If remember it was spindles and cut springs in the front and the rear i think had multiple leafs removed and had shackles.

What ever lowing kit you get go ahead and factor in helper bags. You won’t regret it.

If you're only going with a 4" rear drop, you'll be fine with stock style shocks with extenders. Whichever brand you decide to go with will also have dropped shocks to fit your amount of drop.

@95burban is right, look into helper bags. I'm in the process of getting some for mine

My half ton is lowered 3/4, but if it was a one ton I’d be putting helper bags on it definitely. Or a notch.

We the people would like an actual picture of your truck to look at btw :Big Laugh:

I don't have any photos of Dumplin right now aside from the profile pics. I'll try to get some uploaded soon. Right now I'm just sanding and prepping for paint but you can definitely see that the front end needs some suspension work.

That first pic looks like a ball joint has let go. What's going on?

Looks like more than 3/5. Just spindles on a 3500 is a 3" drop. (well, with Belltech, anyway. Dunno about other brands.)

That's why it's getting lowered soon. I started having some really bad memory steer and it leaves black marks whenever I turn. I am going to have to tear the front end apart to replace a bunch of stuff so I figured that would be a good time to throw in some drop springs or spindles. Haven't decided which way to go yet.
