Intake part arrived today. I noticed the sealing ring in this one isn't seated all the way in, just like @L31MaxExpress mentioned. Heading into garage once I finish coffee. I'm going to heat the area with a heat gun to make it easier to remove the sealing ring. Then I need to find a way to press it into my intake without damaging the sealing ring.

Heat gun and seal puller attachment on a slide hammer worked great. I just held gentle traction on the slide hammer as I went around with the heat gun. I didn't actually slam the slide hammer at all.

I'm happy! Just lightly pressed the sealing ring onto intake as far as it would go using my fingers. Used the heat gun on the surrounding plastic for about a minute or so, and then was able to seat the sealing ring all the way after that just pressing down with my fingers. No seal driver needed.

Did it work? Trying to fix a lean code on my 97 tahoe
It works since it's the designed gasket/seal for the vehicle. Unfortunately, it's no longer available at this time.

@el torro has designed a suitable aftermarket gasket/seal to replace the OEM one.

Thank you for the quick response, Paragon. I am really scratching my head here trying to find parts. Also can't find the valve cover breather hose from the valve cover to the intake :(
On a Vortec 5.7L?

Looks like #11 which would be GM 12553090.

I show two places that would likely have it.

Craig Motors in Napa, California
Colonial Motors in New Jersey

The latter is likely going to be the cheaper of the two. You can call them tomorrow.
Phone: (908) 722-2700

I've bought a couple parts from Colonial Motors before.

What’s the issue with the original tube? Missing… plastic tube damaged…or rubber elbow damaged/missing?

the part that goes into the valve cover lifts slightly and a small amount of oil seeps out. Only while the engine is running

Edit: Yes, Part #11 is what I need. Also, don't want to take this thread off topic. Will look for that part tomorrow. Thanks again Paragon
