Can someone please tell me what I have here? And what is it worth? I have acquired this motor. A cousin passed and no one in my family wanted it or knew what to do with it so it was left up to me. I have had people throw out their input and the suggestions varied. So I am not sure who is right or wrong or if they even know what they are talking about. It was supposed to be placed into a car so to my knowledge it works. But honestly I have no additional info.

It looks like me to be a LS engine of some sort.
Does it have a 4.8, 5.3 or 6.0 cast anywhere on the block?

Any pics of any casting numbers would definitely help.

Same with the intake. That's something unique that's for sure.

4.8/5.3 someone tried to say it was an suv motor with a corvette manifold. But I ran those numbers maybe both just out of a suv

It looks like a rattle can rebuild. A known running 5.3 goes $750-1500 around here. A 4.8 is lucky to get half of that. A 5.3 has a slightly dished piston and a 4.8 will have flat top pistons.
