Fighting the good fight - trying to lay down the bench seat.
I try and try to get my bench seat to roll forward, but have only been able to do it twice since owning the truck.
(I try lifting and wiggling etc. I have the service manuals but can not find the owner's manual)
It's a 1990 K3500.

Is there a trick to this?

Theres a lever behind the seat to un-latch it, its hiding behind the seatbelt in that picture
I'll check again, but I think this one is the type you lift and roll forward.
I checked thoroughly for a latch, and then saw on you-tube that it just lifts and rolls forward.
I have just not been able to replicate the movement consistently.

You say roll forward. Do you mean the bench sliding forward and back ? Or seat back tilting forward ? The locking seat backs were mandated when seatbelt rules tightened, to keep the seat back from trying to squash you. There should be a latch to lift and unlock so it tilts forward. Make sure both sides are unlatching. Have helper unlatch check passenger side is unlocked.
