-91 k2500 No Rear flasher and brake lights.

Started looking over wy the rear flashers and brake lights wont come on.

I have the 4 wires comin from the front, Yellow, Brown, Blue and Green.

I have parkinglights and licensplate lights.

The front flashers are working.

Im not realy shure where to start troubleshoting. But the 2 flasher/brake wires have no power going to them in the rear.

Quick check the brake light switch above the brake pedal. It could be that simple. Checked fuses right?

In order of cost/difficulty:

1) Check fuses.
2) Check for power. Free if you have a multimeter but may take some time.
3) Clean up your ground connections. Especially if it's a rust s-box like mine the grounds can cause problems. Grind a new spot on the frame clean and use a new self tapper to reattach your wire.
4) Most expensive and biggest pain is of course what was wrong with mine, my multifunction switch on the steering column had gone bad and needed replaced.
