I am in the process of fixing the wiring harness in my 95 C1500. I want to add electric fans. There is an empty spot in the relay center so that seems to be the cleanest place to put the new relay. My question is the part numbers for the job. The terminals look like big metri pack connectors, but so far no luck in locating the proper terminals. Any pointers to the correct terminals?

Relay center in engine bay, correct?

Yes correct, thats the one.
I'm trying to find the part number for the fuse box. If I can do that, then I should be able to find the Aptiv/Delphi datasheet for it. And if I can find that, it usually specifies the terminals that fit into the fuse box.

Does your engine bay fuse box look like this?

Okay, so I pulled up a 96 manual from our forum, and the fuse box in the manual does appear the same as the one in the photograph.

Now, the part number for the fuse box in the photo is 12110746.

The datasheet is available online:
https://www.mouser.com/datasheet/2/105/dcs_drawing_12110746-1162083.pdf

If you look at the bottom right corner, it tells you that the terminals in the fuse box are Metri-Pack 280 tangless: "ASM FUSBLK PRTD MP 280 TNGLS".

Now, having replaced fuse block terminals in my own, I think the actual terminals are Metri-Pack 280 tangless bus bar terminals. They look like this:

Metri-Pack 280 female, bus bar, tangless, unsealed terminals:

Whether you need unsealed or sealed, you'll have to take a look at the fuse box and see if the terminals have seals. I think they do since they are in the engine bay, and most all terminals in the engine bay will be sealed terminals. (Although there are some exceptions, such as the 7.4L alternator connector which uses unsealed terminals because the connector itself is sealed.)

Now, which Metri-Pack 280 bus bar female sealed terminal you need will depend on the gauge of the wire you plan to use. Any idea?

12146281, is the underhood box centerpiece where the terminals pin in. I bought about 5 of them a few years ago for $8 each. This is the GM fuse box still used on even the LT based crate engines.

I have used these guys a few times. Cheaper than Mouser on many things.

I actually have some of the terminals on hand as I did not use them all.

So, what you see in the photo is 12110646 (left) and 12110645 (right). These are unsealed terminals actually.

The difference? Attached is the datasheet for 12110646. But, if you maximize it and scroll to the bottom, you will see that it is also the datasheet for other terminals, including 12110645.

Now, the datasheet states that terminal 12110645 is used for 0.8-1 mm2 wire, which corresponds to 16-18 gauge wire. 12110646 is used 2-3 mm2 wire, which corresponds to 12-14 gauge wire. So, once you determine your gauge wire, then you can determine which of the above two terminals you need (more than likely it will be one of those two, although as you can see, there are others on the datasheet).

Once you determine your terminal, you can go to www.mouser.com to purchase it.

For example,

12110645

12110646

Of course, you will need to buy yourself some good crimpers (preferably the Kent-Moore/Aptiv/Delphi crimper) to crimp the terminals on the wire.

If it is that one, then that datasheet is exactly what he needs.

@DonF , just find your cavity on the datasheet, and it tells you what terminals go into it. Majority appear to be bussed terminals, as discussed.
