Gotta have 4 doors..... Rawhide, TOTY 2023!
Hi all, got what may be a dumb question. '97 Chevy C3500 crew cab, 5.7/4L80E/4.10 gears.
Currently the speedometer under reads a little bit, like it says 30 and we're actually going 25-26. Stock size tires(245/75-16) but the rears are older than the fronts (so may be slightly worn and therefore shorter).
I'm contemplating, when I replace the rear tires, going with a 265/75-16 which is an inch taller and according to the tire calculator, will decrease the RPM about 4% which in theory would make the speedo read even lower?
Is there a way to make it read correctly, that doesn't cost multiple body parts ? We go through several "semi speed trap" communities in our part of Houston and I would like to know if I could get an accurate speedometer.....
