I expect you're looking for a different shaft.

Depending on the vehicle, the replacement shaft with the U-joint instead of the rag joint is STRONGLY recommended.

You're in luck. The '94 should take the same steering shaft and bolt that I have pictured above. Last I heard it was discontinued, though. Maybe you can find one loitering in somebody's Stealership parts department.

Dorman had an aftermarket equivalent, but...Dorman.

Yea dorman. Just did a PTU in my girls Ford explorer with there "upgraded" model. It leaked in first 100 miles.

Transfer case essentially. Ford calls it a PTU (power transfer unit) pita to do. Book is 8 hours
