I have a 99 K2500 suburban with the slip yoke at the transfer cast on the front driveshaft.

I can't for the life of me see how to get enough room under there to slide it out?? What's the trick here? I take the straps of the front diff, pop that part out and then it just gets stuck every time and orientation I try to pull it out :biggun:

Try rotating it 90 degrees?

Edit, otherwise your diff mounts could be worn pushing the diff back slightly, a gently pry should be enough.

I feel like I've tried rotating the driveshaft and diff yoke in all different ways to gain clearance. I'm wondering if my exhaust isn't stock and is making it where I can't drop the driveshaft enough

Regardless, is it supposed to come out fairly easy?

Normally you just remove the bolts and straps that hold the u joints to the front end, then use a large flat head or pry bar (at the u joint) to push the driveshaft into the t case about 3/4” and then lower the driveshaft and pull out the shaft.
