Newbie aswell i second this question i have a 98 305 where do the bolts go and what engine stand do yall recommend ? Just pulled yesterdayYEA!!!!! Who woke up at 3am to beat the heat??? I did!!! I got it out yay!!!!! Im so beat! Also, can anyone tell me what bolts and spacers I need to mount to the engine stand? The engine stand I bought second hand had no mounting bolts. And also, I mount the stand to where the transmission bell housing mounts to right? Thank you to anyone's help!!!
I used the transmission bolts that mounted the bell housing to the engine as a reference. I hand threaded 1 bolt in and when it stopped I marked with electrical tape. Then I added 1" shank length to clear the back of the engine and the plus the thickness of the metal from the engine stand mounts. Bought some extra washers in case the bolts were too long. And bought some bolts based off that. ACE has 1" shanks steel that were perfect. I'll add a picture but idk if it will help. And yes take the flywheel off first. My bad hehe.Newbie aswell i second this question i have a 98 305 where do the bolts go and what engine stand do yall recommend ? Just pulled yesterday
I did the lmc dash on my 88 k1500, no complaints but if you end up going this route, save your old dash until the new one is in as you will need the screws, clips, etcWell, it's been a few months and I'm cracking at it again. I'm still trying to acquire what I need to pull the motor. So in the meantime I pulled my dash completely out to access the HVAC box. When I would turn AC on it just wouldn't blow hard even though the blower seemed to be blowing hard. And some of my flaps were broke. Anyway, my dash obviously fell apart in many pieces and I'm mow realizing the cost for a new one so it might be a few months again. BTW I found LMC Truck sells a new dash but it says up to 94, not sure if it will fit mine.
Web site for reference. ^_^
I'll eventually get it done.
