92g-94c frank'n (truburban) K-2500
I do not think so unless a diesel was ordered they got 700r4/4l60/4l60e for automatics and manual I think the options were sm465 5lm60 nv3500 some even got nv4500 the hm290 might do not know 100% might have been a option

Yes my 91 2500 6 lug had a 4L60 the last year of the 700R4 basically. My 92 2500 6 lug has a NV-4500.

some thing I wander about is if any of the 88-90 2500lds 2wd or 4x4 ever left the factory with a th400/3l80 or if you could special order them with one

I did have a 88 89 2500 6 lug that had a Th-400 yes. It was 2 wheel drive with a TBI 350
