Carpet shampooer might be the best thing, unless you have a fabric steamer. Definitely worth a try though, and maybe y'all can use it in the house too.

Yeah I'm hoping it works. So tired of washing and rewashing and rewashing lol. I don't have a steamer. Wish I did but can't really justify buying one. For in the house use won't happen much. I have wood floors and 1 fabric couch that doesn't get used much unless I have company. I figure the shampooer will get used more on both of my trucks carpet then anything. I know the 95 needs a deep cleaning. Someday it will get it.

Haven't gotten much done lately. Got the PCM plug replaced and computer is now hiding in the dash again. Plugged in the heater controls to see if the blower would work and it does now. The pigtail on the power wire that is known to melt was melted. Now have a new problem. I don't have any control on where air comes out. It just comes out of the floor. The actuator doesn't do anything. I also don't hear the recirculation door doing anything. I think I might have a bad controller. It was covered in urine just like everything else and has corrosion on the boards. Gunna have to see if might be able to find one to try before I buy and see if that is the issue. Wish 95's where not 1 year only or else Id have a known good one.

Did get this pile of things installed plus some 4x6's I had bought years ago for my 95 but never got around to pulling the back seat apart to replace them so I threw them in this truck. Didn't do much with the head unit settings other then connect it to my phone since I leave the batteries unhooked unless I need power for something.

On a good note I did locate a headliner new in box for 250 shipped. Just have to wait till next month to get it.

Well got a bit more done. I think the mode actuator was bad out of the box. I swapped in the old and it works and air goes where I want it. To bad its to late to return it. Got the dash put back together completely and the panel back on the passenger side door. Need to get a new handle for the drivers side before I put it back on. Took it on a short drive. Less then a mile. Didn't do much over 25 but it drove pretty good. 1-4 work as they should with no odd noises. Didn't get up fast enough to grab 5th. Its kinda sluggish with a inoperative turbo but I didn't get on it to hard. The plastic vacuum lines going from the vacuum pump to waste gate solenoid then back to the waste gate shattered when I touched them a few months ago. Need to pull what's left off so I can get the right size.
Did walk around before I called it quits and found the brake lights are not working. Don't remember if they did before I took it all apart or not. I don't have anything unplugged under the dash that I can see. I'll have to dig into it farther and see what's going on.

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It is dim but it is there.

Got the brake light switch replaced. What a pain in the rear for a big guy that cant bend and twist like i could 20 years ago. Only way I could get to it was by pulling the steering column. I know you don't have to but that was the only way I could do it. Got everything back together and and now have working brake lights again. Started running new vacuum lines for the wastegate and found out I have the wrong size for vacuum pump to solenoid. I'll have to get the right one tomorrow.
Next up is get the boot for the column at the fire wall back in place get the PMD put in its proper place instead of just chilling on the inner fender. Get the fuse block under the hood bolted back down and what ever else I feel froggy enough to do. Will hopefully get the headliner for it this week and when I get the windshield replaced get it shoved in while they have it out.

Got a bit more done today. Got the A/C system refreshed. The only thing that is original is the lines. Tried replacing the who knows how old belt but the replacement I got was about 3/4 to a inch to short. I didn't have much confidence in the parts jockey that looked it up and he proved my feeling. So I just threw the old cracked to hell one back on. Also got the PMD into the bumper. Its not bolted down as I couldn't find a bolt long enough to mount it. I'll have to get one and get it properly mounted but at least it's out from under the hood. If I ever get my headliner I might have it on the road for shakedown cruise by the end of next month which was my goal when I started the project.

So got to digging a bit deeper and I did indeed get the correct belt for the truck don't know why it doesn't fit properly. I know the old belt has stretched and the only thing that has changed is the A/C compressor. The compressor is supposed to be the updated version that was on it. It did come with spacers to move it up from the bracket because the front of the compressor hits the bracket and wont let it sit flush. I cant image that this is causing the issue but I got a longer belt and will try that.

Not much progress this last week. Its been to darn hot out and the truck doesn't fit well into my garage to get it out of the sun. I can pull it in to about the fender flares on the rear. The door isn't wide enough for the dually flares to pass and it is a tight fit between the truck and the wall. If I was a skinny guy it would be no problem but I'm not a skinny guy. I did get plates and insurance for it so now I can get some short drives in around town to see what else is going need addressed. I still need to get tires so I don't want to do to much driving. I'm hoping next couple weeks and I'll have them.

Well got a bit done today. Got the oil changed and fuel filter changed. I was expecting a bunch of algae in the filter. It was very clean for 10ish years old. If I didn't know better I would think it had just been changed. After the oil change cleaned out the box. Filled my dumpster up with garbage I took out and what PO left in it. Took it for a drive and clocked about 4 miles on it. Drove decent for having garbage tires. It gets new rubber Monday so I'll have a better idea of how it is going to drive. Took it to the car wash and washed it. It looks a bit better but it needs some better scrubbing then I gave it at the wash.

Well the "shakedown" cruise went pretty well. Didn't loose any peices off any of the tires that I could see. Definitely needs shocks. Was a little bouncey going down the road. I know some was tires but felt a little more extreme then just those. Has a but of a pull to the right but as of right now could just be tires again. I'll know more tomorrow after I pick it up. Hopefully all the major stuff is taken care of and can concentrate on the little stuff.
