Are you sure they are only made in 2000?? They are getting harder to find, but pretty sure I've seen some from 98/99. I wish I would have paid attention, but I got the seats and fog lights from a red Z-71
Some were built in '99 and marketed as the 2000 classic model. Some vehicle titles i've noticed list it as 1999, but titles are not always accurate. I've seen many mistakes with them. 99/00 Tahoe z71/limited/denali/escalade seems pretty reasonable with 99 being the gray area. 1998 is certainly not any of those models other than a z71 truck which is not the same as the '00 z71 tahoe.

Mine was built October 1999 and of course marketed and sold as the 2000 model. I wonder if we can figure out what month they started making the z71/limited tahoes. Typically the latest year model vehicles are released in September or October. Anything made before that is usually the current year model. Hopefully others will chime in with build months of theirs, now i'm curious!

I believe they were only sold as a 2000 model year yes. Mine was built December of 1999 and sold as a 2000.

Went out for a drive today since the weather is so nice. I haven’t washed it in a while but it still looks pretty good!

I ordered a console handle and a bunch of anti-rattle velour tape to tackle the abundance of interior squeaks, they will arrive tomorrow.

Beaut. I really need to do the same thing on mine, it rattles and squeaks from just about everywhere. What parts are you taping?

I completely disassembled the center console. Every plastic mating surface creaked. I cleaned everything and reassembled using the tape at any plastic-on-plastic surface. The velour tape not only made it a lot quieter, it’s a lot more sturdy too. I was impressed with the results.

I will do the same for the rear barn door panels, trim, and side cargo panels. Anywhere plastic touches a hard surface results in that creaking sound. The tape really helps.

I wish I could take credit for the velour tape idea but I see it often on vintage Mercedes interior panels and they are soooo quiet.
