The outer black fabric on the hood insulator, anyone ever replace just that? It seems to be exactly like the material on the bottom of beds or sofas. The somewhat translucent type you can almost see through. That fabric is called Chambric, I think. Question is-is that the correct fabric, if not, does anyone know what it’s called? Is it flame retardant?
A GM replacement is $180.00, but the $350.00 shipping confirms they really don’t want to sell them. I know LMC has them and they are cheaper, but laminating a layer of fabric seems a better solution.
