I just emailed them to clarify if the rear axle lines in the complete 14 piece kit come with the protective springs like the stand-alone rear lines do. I would assume they do, but I can't tell from the picture.

You bought the complete kit right?
Yes I did. It has lines to do every cab/bed configuration. My kit had the protective springs.

Just ordered everything. Inline Tube got back to me this morning and confirmed that the rear lines in their full kit for the 1/2 ton 4WD 'burbs do include the protective springs, so I went ahead and got the full kit.

Also have that Raybestos master cylinder and a gallon of Bosch ESI 6 brake fluid on the way from RockAuto. I mentioned this in the "Brake Fluid Recommendations?" thread but the Bosch ESI 6 fluid has a higher wet boiling point than the Wilwood 570 I've been using, and is only $10 per quart on RockAuto.

Thanks everyone!

IIRC, that Bosch fluid is universal, too.

Yes, it claims to be compatible with DOT 3, 4, and 5.1 systems.

I'm pretty impressed with the specifications for the price, 520°F dry/360°F wet boiling points.

When I work on vehicles here, I make the customers pay for large containers of fluids, so that I have extra. I have 2 completely full cans of that fluid and another 1/2 can. They pay for shop towels, brake clean, carb clean, MAF cleaner....etc.

Just went and picked the Suburban up from the shop. I don't think the brakes have ever felt this good!

Not sure but I suspect the new fluid and ABS bleed had the biggest effect. The brakes start grabbing within the first inch or two of pedal travel and everything feels very responsive now, feels very similar to the pedal in my red truck after the brake overhaul was done on it.

All parts selected went on with no issues, except the main hard line to the rear brakes was a little too long. My mechanic cut and re-flared it, no problem.

Thank you all for your input! I'm very satisfied with the results.
