I'm just worried about letting the genie out of the bottle, over 200K and I believe it's the original fluid; I supposed a fluid change via the cooler lines would probably yield the best results? I've just always had the mindset of "if it has to come out might as well be for a rebuild" but I think I can get this converter for a screaming deal. Figure I'd do a shift-kit too and run it for a little longer.
Made it home. The burb ran great. Even thru Chicago traffic with the AC on the Trans temp never broke 185deg. Gas mileage not too bad for 68 mph average.
A vehicle with air conditioning and better fuel mileage. Averaged 13.5 with the 3k trailer running from SE Virginia back into the WV mountains, some interstate mostly rural 55-60 mph. 17-18 on the way down.
