My glow shift oil pressure adapter came in the mail. I am going to use this in conjunction with my oil pressure tester.

This should work right? Or is it better to install the test gauge at the fitting above the oil filter?

Either the port behind the distributor or the one above the oil filter will /should/ give you an accurate oil pressure reading. I bet the 2 galleys are drilled to intersect.

Note: there’s probably a diagram in the FSM that shows the routing of the oil through the galleys in the block. Oil filter is usually first junction after the pump. Cam bearings being first priority after that.

Thank you for the confirmation. I will review the FSM. I’d rather avoid the one above the filter because I have to jack the truck up to do anything underneath now. Such is life, I’ll do it if I need to.

It’s a common struggle amongst us cool people.

I’ve got a set of those gorilla ramps and they work ok. But for some reason it’s always a hassle to get the passenger wheel up them. That one side just slides across the floor. I wish I had room for the ramps that 95burban has.

@95burban what ramps do you have? Are they Race Ramps?

My dad has a pair that I got for his civic. I’ve put the ‘92 on them a couple times. They are nice.

They’re more like a 4 post lift, but ramps. Car lot display type things. Big steel, don’t wanna move’em if you don’t have to :anitoof:

These are the kind of ramps I have. WAAAAAY overkill for what I will ever put on them.
Dad was at the Kenworth dealership to get his truck serviced, and they were sitting outside, he asked what was up with them. They were tossing them as they got a few new sets.
Asked if he could take them, they said sure.
Got some shelving as well that I turned into my welding table.

Buddy offered $800 for them, I couldn't believe woman said no, but we looked them up, like 2k a set!!!! Lol

If overkill were a ramp! Those look pretty sweet. How’s the approach angle? I’d imagine we’d be tearing our air dam up trying to take our lowered truck up them.

I might end up building a set out of lumber. Long gradual incline would be nice.
