Ok, so I'm trying to find out what is the factory specs for oil pressure on a 1995 silverado 350 5.7 tbi. I run at 40 psi holding a constant speed. Even when accelerating, I run at around 40 to 45psi. At idle in gear I run a around 9 to 10. In park, a solid 10.

Is this with the stock oil pressure dash gauge ? Installing a mechanical test gauge to confirm your dash gauge is one way. As long as it's not less than 6 psi at idle, GM calls it good. The variables are oil temperature, oil viscosity, pump wear, pressure relief settings, engine wear clearances. You could look in the service manual under rebuild to see if it references oil pump specs after reman.
The only hard and fast rule is " no less than six psi at idle".

Out of the FSM. Minimum pressure specs. This same spec applies to all Small Blocks and Gen 3 LS engines. GenIV LS has a revised spec due to the DOD system. Obviously more to a point is better. This is bare minimum to prevent rapid unintentional dissasembly.

6 psi @ 1000 RPM
18 psi @ 2000 RPM
24 psi @ 4000 RPM

I was gonna chime in with some info and recommendations that were brought up by the other members. I do have a recommendation though.

In the future, please post the truck info. I know your screen name includes 94 in it but I hate assuming. Thanks.

Yes, my readings are with the gauge on the dash. I'm just trying to learn what the factory stated minimum and maximum requirements are. I have a Haynes Manual. And no where it states what the specs are for oil pressure. So I came on here trying to find an answer.
