The hot rodders call that "patina " LOL. I call it "a truck that's worked hard all its life and still does ".

So far, under my ownership, it's hauled an 8' table and Thanksgiving dinner to a family member's house. Oh! And a set of PYO wheels. I'd say it's more like retirement, lol!

That's still more than many newer trucks do. Most of them around here are just hauling their owner's egos!

Ha! Ive mentioned before that I know someone who dropped 75k on a 2019 Dodge 1 ton.
Hes a stone and tile contractor.
He really thinks hes gonna keep this thing clean and straight while using it on construction sites.
Aint gonna happen.
I give it 5 years before its toast.
Unless he parks it near us steel guys.
Then I give it 1 year.

Patina! I cry every spring when my Cheyenne emerges from the snow and I view all my recued hound marks from the last 25yrs. Even my 30lb beagle (damn best Moose dogger) had given some nail idents on the front left panel. Great Times.

Probably more than the new trucks CAN do! After all they have about the same horsepower (or in many cases much less, have to haul around all that extra frou frou, the overblown sheet metal, the extra bells and whistles AND the owners ego. A lot of those guy would not know a real truck if it bit them.

Hi, I'm new so it says I can't post, but can reply so apologies that I'm not really "replying" to this post.
I am wanting to get a tailgate band for my 1995 Chevy GMT400 Silverado 2500 4wD TurboDiesel pickup--where should I go to find this item?
Mine was de-badged and painted but they didn't replace the trim/badges...

LMC and Holley sell reproductions.
