The trans would be on borrowed time with a 6.0 and it didn't sound like he had the budget for a new trans. 4.8 isn't a bad choice given the budget.

I guess technically everything mechanical is, but I think it's not a great leap to say the 4.8 would be kinder to it than the 6.0.
