Upgrading tow vehicle

Finally decided to upgrade my tow vehicle from my 1998 C3500 to a new 2500HD Custom trim truck. 6.6 gas engine/10 speed transmission.

Yeah brand new- final price was close to my mortgage on my first house. So far no regrets though, trying to decide if I want to keep the old girl or not. Hard to part with these trucks after I’ve put so much sweat and $$ into them.

Nice. The 6.6 gasser is a towing machine. I hear the 10spd makes it even better. I have a 21, so they were still using the 6 spd, but it does well also.

Hell yes! Crew cabs are great, like others OBS trucks, but it's good to have a backup vehicle. And every one of the last several generations of newer trucks has had some recalls.....

I read a while back that the 10 speed was having some problems, those issues have found solutions?

Just got back from a 4000 mile trip with the 6.6 gas/10 speed. Not towing anything. No issues with the engine or transmission so far.

Its amazing how massive those new trucks are, that CCLB 3500 looks like a toy your give kids to drive around the yard.

Yep. Heck, "midsize" trucks these days are pretty close in size to a GMT400.
