Where can I get a genuine OEM third brake light seal , my 99 gmc k1500 suburban, it has sprung the infamous third brake light seal leak
Perfect timing for me with this east coast hurricane I’ve been tracing the leak for a week now I removed the cargo area carpet which was soaked from it , but parked my truck on an angle last night during storm and tons of water ran down my nice shiny metal in the back all the way up under my nice dry carpet underneath the second row , I got a fan in there with some of the cab carpet propped up a little to attempt to dry it over night it feels like the second row carpet only got soaked about half way under the second row seats , should I attempt to air dry it with the fan, or would y’all recommend just pulling the carpet completely out to the front and dry it completely to prevent any rust, this truck has very minimal rust and would like to keep it that way but don’t want to do unnecessary work if I don’t have to. But was searching here and the gmt400 forums and it seems like a good original OEM third brake light seal is impossible to come by any recommendations please having water in my truck is not how I intended this project to go.
