Optimizing towing preformance and oil/trans temp gauges

That's 500lbs dry. Add water in you camper tank, clothes, food, bedding, chairs, and you're 1500lbs over.

I am currently looking for a 2500 or 3500. If I get a good price on one I will pull the trigger as I've realized that I am starting to push it even for my comfort level

What would cause such a big difference? I was under the influence a 5th wheel would pull better and have better weight distribution. Also the truck has 3/4 ton springs which should eat the worst of the tongue weight difference

The aerodynamic signature is significantly larger. It'll handle the weight better, but it won't get down the road worth a ****.
