I put a tee into my 5.7L engine. I don't have a photo of the sensor and hose connected, though.
The brass tee is behind the "Sch" of my name on the copyright notice.
Guess it isn't recommended to rig something to leave the angled block connector as is? Terrified to mess with that thing...

wow, you did that without moving the distributor?

I wouldn't expect big trouble with the OEM fitting for the original oil pressure sending unit. Anything can happen, but I haven't seen examples of that fitting breaking.

I'm kinda thinking that photo was taken during the assembly of the engine, or assembled on an engine stand, and then photographed after it was dropped into the the engine bay.

Anyone have a picture of the port above the oil filter to tap into? I looked today and I just want to make sure I have the right one.

Can you post a pic? a yes or no may be easier for some than finding a pic...what truck do you have? is it 4wd?
I'm actually doing mine now too..weird...But I'm teeing off the sender... Something tells me that the way I can only tighten it so much for the clearance I have for my contraption may push me into looking where you are....
@Schurkey...guessing you used an extension in the block of sorts first? I need to look if the factory set up lets you leave that section??

The tubing kit should have an adapter that works for the location by oil filter. I just need to find the right port. My trucks a 98 k1500 350 vortec.

This is on my truck with the TBI 5.7 (1991). I never use the nylon tubing that comes with the gauge. If you're installing the gauge like this, buy a copper line kit.

Thank you Sir. That's what I was looking for.

Yes I have the copper kit made by Bosch. Can you shorten the line if it's too long?
