Hey Guys.
Would anyone know if I need both harnesses for the power door swap?

You shouldn't need the wiring connected to the entire convenience center, as the cross-body harness actually plugs into the convenience center and powers most everything in the doors without modification. The pins should already be populated in your truck's convenience center, you just might need to install the silver circuit breakers in the fuse panel on the dash. My bare 97 had that already so I just plugged in and played.

It's on the left in this pic. The gray connector toward the bottom of the pic plugs into a connector on your convenience center to power the doors.

In red is the harness you absolutely need.

In cyan is the connector that plugs into your existing convenience center. In yellow, you'll find a mating connector on top of your steering column support, you'll need to de-pin and re-pin your existing connector there to add the wires in this new harness. In green, this part is held to the upper edge of the firewall behind the dash.
