Hello I have a 1990 GMC K1500, 350sbc, with the mg5 manual.
I've been thinking of doing a swap, and trying to get the 6.2L LS3 with a T56 in the truck, but one of the problems I've been running into is finding a way to get the 6spd to match up to a transfer case. I don't know if the t56 is the best option, but if I could get y'all's opinions and help it would be greatly appreciated!

To the best of my knowledge, you'll need a divorced transfer case to run a t56. Good luck fitting that with good angles under our trucks.

If it was me I'd try to find a NV5600 if you want a 6 speed, you'll need a few adapters but it should work.

Personally I swapped a GM spec NV4500 into my truck. Couldn't be happier. The 5th gear may be geared higher than you want but a diff swap can help with that.
