I'm guessing your cable is the problem. This one should work:

BoostedNW ALDL 12 pin GM datalogger

This is for any pre-1995 (OBD1) GM vehicle. Everything except the 1995 LT1. You should be able to datalog all of them, and reflash the 94 LT1 as well. This item can be used with TunerPro RT, TTS Datamaster, TunerCat reflash for LT1, WinALDL, and EFI Live

I'd probably hold off on ordering this if anyone is considering it. Seems they're having some issues getting caught up from a personal issue and these aren't actually in stock from what I was told. They said since the parts to make them are in house, they consider them in stock. There are status update pages explaining the delays.

It's been 3 weeks since my status was updated to packaged for shipping...little over a month since I was parted from my $...

I reached out again a couple of days ago . Will see. Was hoping to have a new cable before I go oot next month. May have to get that other one recommended and just wait this one out.

Any idea why the cable would cause issues? Just wondering before I go drop more money on another cable.

Probably the pinout, the obd connector only uses 1 or 2 pins to transmit the data. Also the com port someone else mentioned could also be a problem. And yet another person recommended you get a windows laptop, i second that emotion as a chromebook is very very limited especially if you are not expert with the technology. With a laptop we can at least get you in the ball park. I recommend a lenovo thinkpad t410 if you are cash strapped as they are cheap to acquire and parts are avail. If you are just going to use it for this and maybe web surfing and looking at manuals this one aint bad

Okay so I believe the resistor is my issue... does anyone know if the AlDL cable from OBD diagnostics that has previously been linked, does that come witj the resistor built in??

I sent another email but this time it was to the owner I believe because he had responded back in June from his email. The other emails were from the main support address.
I feel bad that they apparently lost a family member back in April who was part of the business I guess and have been playing catch up since.
Probably just going to start the process of getting my money back if I don't see any progress soon. Shows they charge a 15% restocking fee if you cancel once it's status is showing packaged for shipping but over a month in that status is a bit silly.

Been having issues trying to get their cable to transmit data. Grabbing the debug file for the ALDL Droid developer (Christian?) I noticed Moates mentioned...
Not sure of the void left by Moates story but thought it was interesting...
Guess I could look and see how they aquired the Moates name... or at least figure out why it shows up....
Actually waiting for their support to get back to me....
