Interior door light switch issue

My 1995 Silverado interior lights will not come on when the door opens when I have the dash light button activated in the on position. They only work when I pushed the dash light button manually. Is there a automatic switch in the door jam? How do yo fix this? Is there a dimmer mode that will turn the lights off after the doors are shut?

There are door jamb switches that could be the culprit. Mine interior lights stayed on when the doors were closed, and went out when the drivers door was ajar. Replaced that switch, and everything is good now.
