‘97 Silverado 2500. Not overly familiar with these trucks. Was at 3/4 tank and I threw in 53 liters or 14 gallons.

Cause for concern or normal?

It probably goes below the empty mark too. I think every vehicle I’ve ever owned did that, even new.

Both my 95's and the 99 do that and if I remember right my 94 did to. But thats been many years ago. Some times 95 I still own will go almost horizontal after filling.

Completely normal. Both of my '97s have done this since they were new.
