Yup!

There's where you're confused. The solenoid wire off the ign/clutch switch should be a heavy(10 gauge?)purple wire that is only hot when you turn the ignition switch to start while mashing the clutch.

That's because you have a constant hot wire going to the solenoid S terminal. Find that purple wire and hook it to the solenoid S terminal
I understand, I just need to be told where to move that. I'll look at the diagrams tonight but if someone wants to tell me what to move where I'm all ears

Ok, I'll take time to look this over tonight and process your feedback. Thank you

Move what? The hot wire that's on there now? Where is it coming from

I can't find a 10 gauge wire. There is a miscellaneous yellow and purple approximately 16 gauge wire hanging loosely with no home under the dash. The actual wiring harness connected to the clutch safety switch is a very tiny baby wire, half the thickness.

There's a picture of my clutch safety switch. That's the new one that is installed and the actual switch itself is not depressing as much as the original one that was on there. I'm wondering if it's part of the problem.

Also you'll see the 16 gauge yellow and purple. I tried to capture a picture of where the rest of the harnesses plug in; I can't find a home for the end of this wire so who knows what that is about.

Also you'll see a picture of the fuse links on the passenger side of the firewall. The last wiring harness picture is what's found below the fuse links. On the driver's side, I don't see any loose wires anywhere.

What happens if I move my hot wire from the s terminal to the b terminal and try to monkey with my safety switch

I put the original safety switch back in. For whatever dumb reason, it looks like it has more pressure on the clutch lever compared to the new part which looks identical.

Now I'm moving my hot wire from the s terminal to the b terminal.

Have to go to town tomorrow and get a new 30 amp fuse. When I hooked the hot wire direct to the starter, pretty sure I blew a fuse. No juice anywhere!

Thanks for all of the suggestions that were sent

The purple wire should be down there by the starter or up in the harness close to it. Judging by the size of the wires at the clutch switch I'm guessing there is a relay somewheres in the start circuit. Have you downloaded the wiring schematic for your truck? The starter circuit will be in there.

OK man,I just looked up the wiring schematic for your truck.
The start wire coming off the ign. switch is yellow,it goes to the clutch switch and comes off the clutch switch as purple. It goes through the bulkhead connector and into the main engine harness and down to the starter. At the starter it's purple. Dig into that main harness and find that purple wire coming from the left side of the truck. There is also a purple wire for the O2 sensor,it comes in from the right under the A/C accumulator, don't mess with that one!!!

I routed my hot wire from the s terminal to the b terminal. Problem is, when my inexperienced self hooked it up to the s terminal I blew something so now I have zero power. I pulled the 30 amp, 12v battery fuse and it looks okay. Multimeter shows zero ohms so now what. should have went to school.
